Weekend Warrior Workout – Core






Having a STRONG core is essential for injury prevention!


Anti-extension (preventing the lower back from sagging down) and anti-rotation (not allowing the hips to rock) are combined in this exercise progression, making it extremely difficult.


Try out this plank progression:


1 – Knee Plank

2 – Plank

3 – Marching Plank

4 – Plank w/ Reach

5 – Around the World Plank


Coaches Corner:

  • Keep a neutral spine at all times

  • Prevent your hips from rocking as the center of gravity shifts as you change position

  • Control your breathing, try to synchronize the movement with your breathing

  • Make sure to smile 🙂
