Mountain Climbers
Exercise Summary
Work your core and get a great cardio workout at the same time with mountain climbers.
Mountain climbers are great because you can do them at any point in a workout and they can be done anywhere.
To perform mountain climbers:
Get into a pushup position
Make sure that your hands are shoulder width apart and directly under your shoulders (not overhead)
Your head, upper back, and butt should be in a straight line.
Tighten up your core
Drive one knee up towards your nose trying to get your knee to 90 degrees
Ideally try to keep the toes of the leg you are driving up, off of the floor. To make the exercise less intense, touch your toes on the floor
Quickly put that foot back to the starting position, while simultaneously driving the other knee towards your nose
Perform as many reps as possible in a given amount of time or for the required number of reps
