A common issue that often arises while performing pushups on a suspension trainer, which can include a Jungle Gym, TRX, or Rings, is that the straps rub on your arms. Performing a lot of reps with the straps rubbing on your arms can cause some irritation.
To prevent this, when setting up for your pushups, make sure that you raise your hands just a little bit so that the straps are just above your shoulders.
Also, as you drop down to the “bottom” portion of the pushup, take your hands out to the side of your shoulders so that the straps stay off of your arms and shoulders.
