Technique Tip: Bent Over Row

Bent Over Row

Exercise Summary

If you push, you HAVE to pull.

That’s right, you can’t just bench press all of the time and not work the back side of your body.

In order to make sure that you are balanced from the front of your body to the back of your body, you should perform an equal amount of sets for both your chest and your back.

To perform:
Set your feet a little wider than shoulder width apart
Bend your knees so that you are in an athletic position and lean forward so that one of your hands is resting on the box (or bench)
Only about 10-15% of your weight should be on the hand on the box
Grab the kettlebell (or dumbbell) handle so that your palm is facing in for the whole movement
Pull the handle up towards your ribcage, squeezing your shoulder blades together
Slowly return the kettlebell (or dumbbell) back to the starting position
Repeat for the required number of repetitions
